Preview/Options is on the File menu. You use Preview/Options to preview what your outline, bullet chart, or tree chart will look like printed or to specify certain print characteristics about the document, including its margins. When you choose Preview/Options, one of three Preview windows is displayed, depending on whether you are in an outline, bullet chart, or tree chart. Listed below are the options available on all of the Preview windows and the specific options for the outline and bullet views:
In All Views:
Page # of # scroll box Shows the currently displayed page number and the total number of pages.
Printer icon Displays the Print dialog box.
Margins Sets the margins. MORE’s preset option is to specify margins in inches. If you want to specify the margins in centimeters or pixels, choose Preferences from the File menu. You can also drag the margins on the preview page in the Preview window.
Color Printing When selected, prints colors available with printing device. When deselected, prints in black.
In Outline View:
Color Printing When selected, prints colors available with printing device. When deselected, prints in black.
Selected Outline Only Previews and prints just the selected headline and its suboutline. Turn this box off if you want to print the entire outline, regardless of the position of the cursor. If a headline is hoisted, turning this option off will only print the hoisted portion of the outline.
Expanded Outline Only Previews and prints the expanded headlines and document windows. Collapsed headlines and document windows do not print.
Headlines Previews and prints headlines over the range of levels that you specify in the text entry boxes.
Documents Previews and prints document windows over the range of levels that you specify in the text entry boxes.
Table of Contents Prints a table of contents, as specified by the Table of Contents command under the Format menu. The table of contents is displayed at the end of the printed outline in the Preview window.
Headers & Footers Previews and prints page headers and footers, as set with the Headers & Footers command under the Format menu. If you check this box, but don’t specify page headers or footers text using the Headers & Footers command, MORE doesn’t display page headers or footers.
Start Page Numbers at Determines what the first printed page number will be. The default is 1. This option is useful when you want other material to precede your printed outline or when you want to join a number of separate outlines together into one document with consecutive page numbers.
In Bullet Chart View:
Bullet Chart Icons Represent the printing formats of bullet charts and Notes windows.
Expand Builds Prints each element of a build as an individual chart, but an attached Notes window prints only with the first chart of the build series.
Headers & Footers Previews and prints page headers and footers, as set with the Headers & Footers command under the Format menu. If you check this box, but don’t specify page headers or footers text using the Headers & Footers command, MORE doesn’t display page headers or footers.
Start Page Numbers at The starting page number box determines what the first printed page number will be. The default is 1.
In Tree Chart View:
